New Zealand Open 2019 is the eleventh tournament of  HSBC BWF World Tour 2019. Before that BWF World Tour conducted Singapore Open 2019 which was the tenth tournament of BWF World Tour season 2. In the series of 26 tournaments, New Zealand Open 2019 is the further step for the finals.

BARFOOT & THOMPSON New Zealand Open 2019 is the official name of New Zealand Open 2019. Apart from BWF World Tour New Zealand Open 2019 is also the part of New Zealand Open Championships which has been held since 1990 to now.
